CORE Investments is the GLOBAL PROJECT MANAGER for the new technological campus for a Portuguese global company.
Designed by internationally awarded Danish Architect Bjarke Ingels (BIG), the campus project is part of Fuse Valley’s masterplan.
Aiming to be a landmark for Innovation, Sustainability and Wellbeing, the design approach assembles a local interpretation of Oporto’s traditional quartiers with a more human scale approach. Singular buildings are connected by courtyards, both driven by a clear garden philosophy, emphasizing the public space from Leça’s river slopes and campus incorporation in the new urban park of Matosinhos city.
The demanding and ambitious project for the campus has involved around 100 designers and consultants from almost 20 different offices and academia, namely QUADRANTE, IC-FEUP (currently ICS), LNEC, ARUP, LIMSEN, ENGIMIND, AMBISITUS, ËQUALITAS and others.
The innovative and community purposed program is aligned with new offices concept, including well-being areas, living, gathering, informal work, auditorium, and kindergarten.
INCLUSION and ACCESSIBILITY was prioritized, combining innovative solutions on several disciplines such as architecture, landscape, lighting, and signage design, overcoming local regulatory demanding.
Technical innovation is also mandatory, and BIM Methodology is integrated during all process and all projects developed.
