CORE Investments is providing project management services for the new development phase of Balaia Golf Village, one of the most renowned resort destinations in the Algarve.

Set within a site of approximately 40 hectares, Balaia Golf Village is distinguished by the quality of its setting and amenities, currently featuring a 9-hole golf course, 530 apartments, 7 swimming pools, and 4 restaurants, all within an environment defined by harmony between nature, architecture, and leisure.

The expansion now underway represents the final stage in the resort’s development, significantly enhancing its offering with the construction of 250 new tourist apartments, 2 new restaurant areas, a spa, a dedicated kids club area, and an office building.

The goal of this new development is to preserve the identity of Balaia Golf Village while introducing a contemporary architectural and technical character that expands both the scope and quality of its offering, further reinforcing the resort’s attractiveness and prestige within Portugal’s residential and leisure tourism sector.

Core Investments is responsible for coordinating the design teams in the development and support of the construction of an agrotourism project integrated into an estate with a relatively dense tree cover, as well as its surroundings, located outside the urban center and conceived with an ecological concept of connection with nature, using natural and sustainable materials in its construction.
The development will focus on maintaining the natural characteristics of the environment, cultivating organic agriculture and, at the same time, offering accommodation.

The purpose is to attract guests such as digital nomads, allowing them to live on site, enjoy the coworking space, take part in the farm’s agricultural activities, and consume the food produced there.
In addition to the use of sustainable materials in the construction, the energy production for the housing units will come from sustainable sources, including for vehicle charging.

The swimming pool will be built on terraces with a naturalized form, featuring fauna and vegetation that support the ecosystem’s balance, and will also serve as a reservoir for rainwater to be reused for irrigation and, if necessary, for firefighting purposes.

During the construction phase, in addition to coordinating the designers, Core Investments will also be responsible for supervising the works to be carried out.
